Getting Around

The main app uses four tabs:

Library — saved codes, search, filter, and sort
Scan — full-screen camera, torch, and gallery import
Create — new codes by symbology or structured content type
Profile — account, theme, legal links, sign out

Creating Codes

You can create a new code in two ways on the Create tab:

By content type — fill in structured fields (URL, contact, Wi‑Fi, calendar, payment, and more). The app builds a valid QR payload and validates required fields before saving.
By code type — choose a format (QR, Micro QR, Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, or a supported barcode) and enter the raw value. Barcode values are validated and normalized (including check digits where applicable) before save.

Customization (colors, QR shapes, error correction) is available on the code detail screen after saving.

Guest Mode and Accounts

You can use Qrexium without signing in (Continue as guest). Guest codes are stored locally on your device. Sign in with email, Google, or Apple (iOS) to sync codes across devices via cloud storage. When you sign in, the app may offer to copy local guest codes into your account.

Supported Scan Content

Qrexium can recognize and process many kinds of information encoded in QR codes and barcodes, including:

Website URLs
Plain text
Contact cards (vCard)
Calendar events (iCalendar)
Phone numbers
Email addresses
SMS messages
Wi‑Fi network configuration
Geographic coordinates and map locations
Payment-related QR and payment-URI formats
Product barcodes (GTIN / EAN / UPC where applicable)

Depending on the scanned content, Qrexium may offer quick actions such as opening a website, saving a contact, adding a calendar event, or connecting to a network.

Supported Payment Types

Qrexium recognizes the following payment-related formats:

UPI — India: upi://pay and similar UPI QR payloads
SEPA / GiroCode (EPC) — Europe: credit-transfer QR (BCD + IBAN, recipient, amount, references)
PIX — Brazil: EMV payloads with PIX / static key heuristics
Swish — Sweden: swish:// payment requests
Alipay — alipay: / alipays: app links
WeChat Pay — weixin: / wxp: app links
Bitcoin — bitcoin: URIs (address, optional amount)
Ethereum — ethereum: URIs (address, optional amount)
Lightning — BOLT11 and LNURL-style lightning: links
Payto — payto: (RFC 8905)
Custom PAY: scheme — PAY:currency:amount:recipient style lines

Common Questions

What code types are supported?

Qrexium supports generating and scanning the following symbologies (exact camera support can vary by device and platform):

2D — QR Code, Micro QR, Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, Micro PDF417
Barcode — Codabar, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, EAN-8, EAN-13, ITF (Interleaved 2 of 5), UPC-A, UPC-E

Scanning a code from a photo may recognize additional barcodes in some cases; the app stores and displays the decoded content in a consistent way across Android and iOS.

How can I add a code?
Create one on the Create tab, scan with the Scan tab camera, pick an image from the gallery on Scan, or share an image into Qrexium from another app (Android intent or iOS Share Extension).

How do I share a saved code?
Open the code in your library and use Share from the top bar. You can share the code image and, where supported, accompanying text in one system share sheet.

Where is my data stored?
Guest mode: codes stay on your device until you sign in or remove the app.
Signed-in accounts: codes are stored in your account using cloud storage (Firebase Firestore) and sync when online. Cached data may remain available offline after a successful sync.
